Science of Science Fiction - March 23rd; 6pm-8pm at The Neurosciences Institute
The San Diego Science Festival offers teens a chance to participate in an enlightened question-and-answer panel discussion moderated by Barbara Bry, science fiction enthusiast and associate publisher/executive editor at San Diego News Network, with science fiction authors whose lives' work is based on "hard science."
Panelists include: Scott Sigler (EarthCore, Ancestor, Contagious, and Infected), Jennifer Ouellette, Director of the Science & Entertainment Exchange, and author of The Physics of the Buffyverse, Ricardo Gil da Costa, of the Salk Institute for Biological Studies and a consulting scientist for the Science & Entertainment Exchange and David Brin, recipient of the Hugo and Nebula Awards, noted futurist, and author of the Uplift Trilogy and Tomorrow Happens.
