DESIGN GUIDELINES:
This competition is to create a mascot for the San Diego Science Festival. We are looking for a creative mascot that will be on our website and some print materials, and eventually come to life at Festival events, just as you would have a mascot for a sports team, cartoon show, or fast food restaurant.
Our SD Science Festival mascot needs a great personality that should embody everything about science, such as creativity, discovery, passion, adventure, exploration, excitement, wonder, and imagination.
Our Judges will consider the following criteria for the winning design:
1. Creativity: No idea is a bad idea, but it needs to be your idea.
2. Simplicity of Design: This should be a character that the SDSF creative team can easily recreate many times for many different applications, including a life-sized costume!
3. On Target: Make sure the character represents “science”.
