Sponsored by the Kimmich Educational Foundation at The San Diego Foundation, the Festival is hosting an event to build what could be the world’s longest DNA Molecule – 100’s of meters long!  YOUR students can help build it.  The model will be constructed by area science students and paraded through Balboa Park on Festival Kick-Off Saturday on March 17, and presented on the Main Stage at EXPO DAY on March 24. 

We have 36 classrooms participating in building this BIG DNA molecule.  The dress rehearsal for the DNA Dragon Parade will be held on Saturday, February 25, at UC San Diego Marshall Field at noon.  The official DNA Dragon Parade will occur on Kick-Off Saturday, March 17, 2012.
