San Diego Science Festival
Excite your mind at the 2010 San Diego Science Festival! The San Diego Science Festival strives to create exciting and interactive experiences that showcase the remarkable science of greater San Diego, a community recognized as one of the Nation’s scientific leaders. A wide variety of programs and events are offered to participants of all ages, with a special focus on building a pipeline of future scientists and STEM thought-leaders. This year’s Science Festival will be held from Saturday, March 20, 2010 through Saturday, March 27, 2010.
Nifty 150
Teachers are invited to sign up to have a world renowned scientist visit their classroom! The Nifty 150 will visit schools in February, March and April of 2010 and share their inspiring stories and science professions with classrooms of future scientists and science professionals.

Teachers 2010 Festival
Teachers and School Administrators can get involved now for SDSF 2010. The Festival Week is March 20-27, 2010, but there will be many other exciting events, field trips, and programs planned to participate in.
Mascot Competition
Vote for your favorite design for the new San Diego Science Festival Mascot! $1000 first place prize! All designs will be printed on T-shirts and are available for purchase.

Balboa Park museums will be giving discounted admission and have hands-on science activities.

Rubik’s Cube Competition
The Rubik’s Cube speed competition for K-12 students is a new event! Teams of eight students per school from across San Diego County will compete for the fastest time to unscramble 25 Rubik’s Cubes. Last day to register your class is January 31, 2010.

EXPO Day at Petco Park
Like the flagship event of 2009 that drew 50,000 attendees to Balboa Park, Expo Day brings together over 150 hands-on science activities and stage performances for people of all ages and interest levels. This year’s EXPO Day will be held at Petco Park.
