This is a casual event in the exhibit galleries, not a lecture, so you'll have the chance to chat with the genius and ask questions. Explore themes from our exhibitions in ways that are both insightful and delightful.
Students from Sweetwater Unified High School district invite you to this free community event designed to inspire a love of STEM in people of all ages! Come learn about science and technology through a series of interactive booths! You can learn how a 3D printer works, learn to solder your own circuit, play with a Non-Newtonian slime, hold a snake, build a parachute to test in the wind tunnel, and much, much more!

The Expanding Your Horizons Conference is a unique opportunity for girls in grades 6 through 10 to engage in hands-on workshops in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) led by San Diego’s top scientists, engineers, and specialists. This unique event is designed to foster young girls’ enthusiasm for STEM careers, inform them of professions and opportunities, and encourage them to continue their studies in science and math to reach their goals and objectives.
Join us at Petco Park on Saturday, March 3rd for a day full of FREE, FUN SCIENCE! From 10-5 the park will be packed with over 130 different hands-on activities showcasing STEM for participants of all ages!

Visit Ms. Smarty-Plants™ at the beautiful Water Conservation Garden for an outdoor learning adventure that includes a garden tour, music, magic and fun! Learn about local water supply, changes in the climate, conservation, adaptations, and plant a water-smart plant to take home. Activities are in line with California State Standards, E-STEM and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Field Trip is FREE in partnership with The San Diego Festival of Science & Engineering.
Marine Science Day is a free showcase of SDSU’s marine lab facility and scientific research for the public, hosted by MEBSA, the Marine Ecology and Biology Student Association. Throughout the day there will be family-friendly activities, research talks given by students and faculty, games, a marine life touch tank, SCUBA gear demonstrations, raffle, and much more!
